Michelle Branco, IBCLC, is a lactation consultant providing services to women facing a variety of breastfeeding challenges.
An active La Leche League leader since 2007, she has helped dozens of families reach their breastfeeding goals through a variety of challenging circumstances. She serves on the LLLC Social Media Committee and the Toronto-area outreach team created to reach under-served communities.
Michelle completed her studies at the Newman Breastfeeding Clinic Institute in Toronto. She has a special research interest in breastfeeding mothers who have experienced trauma in the perinatal period (ie: birth trauma, NICU admission).
Fostering women’s natural mothering instincts, she works collaboratively with the family’s health care team to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
She speaks regularly on a range of breastfeeding topics and writes the monthly column, “Breastfed Matters” for Natural Child Magazine.
Michelle and her husband have two children, both breastfed.
